Latin drivers won't stand out much in oval track stock car racing because they're more passionate than the Anglo's, and tend to be pushy to the point of being abrasive. This is not derogatory in any sense of the word, it's just a fact that can be seen rather easily if one watches IRL or formula racing. He'll do well on the road courses because once you pass a guy on the road course you seldom have to deal with him again the way you would on an oval lap after lap. It's pretty common to see IRL drivers giving each other the finger after a less than sportsmanlike move, but that won't hardly work in a Busch or Nextel series race, not when a bumper or fender will work so much better. Montoya is a good driver, he's proven that rather well over the past few years, but he may be out of his league in these heavy slow handling cars. As world class as Mario Andretti was, even he had only limited success in Nascar. Give the Devil his dues, the guy manages to outrun some of the best in the business every week, but it's doubtful he will ever be a leader in this branch of the sport.

Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart the place at a song in Madison Wisconsin some weeks in the past. there's some short tracks that Matt Kenseth is going right here, as properly as Paul Menard. sometime's they are going to have some different Nascar drivers take part in those races. the Milwaukee Mile use to hold a Governor's Cup race adventure. Matt Kenseth replaced into continuously the headline racer at that race. because of the financial woes with the Mile, they permit pass of that race as properly in basic terms like the did with the Indy, and Nascar races.

He's a rookie, and yes he does have experience racing, but these cars dont stick like Indy or Formula 1....I agree he has wrecked a bunch of cars, but actually Kyle Busch was slated to have destroyed the most cars this year in the two series...also, if it is all time, Jimmy Spencer was nicknamed the Human Bowling Ball...I'd go with him wrecking the most cars!!!!!

PS Both wrecks today were'nt his fault, except he did slide out o fthe turn and hit Harvick, but that was just his car getting loose and going around, I'm surprised he saved it....In the Busch race his spotter said he was clear when he came up the track and clipped the front corner of Kahne's car, not quite his fault, if you've ever been in the car you would know that drivers have very limited visibility and rely on their spotter to make that call, and his was wrong....the wreck with Labonte was Reutiman's fault who hit off the wall and ricocheted into Labonte and Montoya just didn't have time to check-up.....besides, he's won a race in both series already...and he'll begin to improve as he sees tracks for the second time

One downside is he is not taking this season as most rookies would....Most will allow the other drivers to push a bit more and not push back, or at least be nice when other drivers say it is his fault, he is pushing back and other drivers may not like that, but it seems Tony Stewart is still getting along all fine, and I know Tony pushes just as much as Montoya does!!!!

The guy has talent he just is overly aggresive. But look at some of the other over aggresive drivers that people complain about, Stewart (2 time champ), Kyle Busch (has won his share of races), and of course Earnhardt. If Montoya calms down a little and gets more used to these cars he could be a contender. He would need a better team too though.

He definitely needs to go back to F1 or IRL or whatever will take him. I mean NASCAR is where all the money and stuff is but he is going to seriously hurt someone. I wouldnt go that far as never being on a racetrack again, but you know I would like to see him gone from NASCAR for good. Grrrrr

I would like to see most of the the nascar drivers in a F1 car . They would not make it round the first bend. Even worse if it was a right hander. Montoya ia a breath of fresh air in Nascar.

Well, he is close, but he is inexperienced so maybe he will get better if he hangs around with anoter good Nascar driver and takes notes.

No, Green and Nemechek have the title. They were way bad longer than Montoya or did you just start watching racing this year?

Well, hes in his rookie year almost EVERY driver has a crappy rookie season in NASCAR, he'll most likely improve.

Also, I do agree that it was abit rushed for Chip to move him up to the Cup Series, he should spend more time in the Busch Series.

Nascar needs to take a look at him and think seriously about pulling his license at all the tracks but the road courses.
