I just graduated in May and my student insurance is up in August. What do I do for insurance as a contract attorney if I do not work for the same agency every job?

Like all self-employed people they buy their insurance from companies who specialize in that. Check the yellow pages or google it.

An ins co keeps a list of attorneys in an area, and will call on an attorney on this list to represent the company if a claim would go to litigation.
They are not employees of an ins co, but would charge a fee based on services rendered and complexity of the case.
