Your friend is a Filipino-Spanish and cannot be considered a White in USA. He is a mixture of an Asian and European which is not technically white.

truth is nobody claims what they are in the surveys asking your race.. technically how CAN you claim.. im half this, one third that, 2/3 this..ect!

i was born in texas. my family is ALL from cuba.. technically i can be counted for as "white" or american.
do you think i put that?!!
NO, i put latino (cuban, puerto rican, other). and when its a verbal question i just say im cuban. because i dont feel white!

you can be who you want to be over here!!

She should claim to be Asian on any documents asking this question. It will help protect her from discrimination.
