in my past relationship, when I thought things were going great- the woman would cheat with some other guy. are american women not happy unless there is some sort of drama to their lives?

I honestly do not understand why anyone cheats. It doesn't matter if it is a man or a woman. Just as many men cheat as what women do. If someone isn't happy in their current relationship then that person should do the right thing and try to talk about whatever problems they are having with their significant other. They should give the other person a chance to work things out. If that doesn't work, then they should break up or file for divorce before even trying to hook up with someone else.
Maybe you should try talking to your ex-girlfriends to find out exactly what their reasoning was to cheat on you. This may seem hard to do, but at least you will get accurate answers instead of guesses. I am not trying to upset you but maybe she cheated on you because you wasn't making love to her enough or maybe she thought that you were lousy in bed. Maybe she thought you had a small penis. But Again, I am not trying to be rude or upset you, I am just letting you know why a lot of women do cheat. Most people that I know of that cheat or have affairs say that they do so because their significant other doesn't have no where near the same sex drive that they do and they want sex a lot more. So they just have someone on the side.
Seeings how you keep ending up with women that cheat on you, you need to sit down and be honest with yourself and see what it is that you are doing wrong. Are you treating these women like crap? That could also be a reason. If you can honestly say that you are not doing anything wrong, then maybe you need to start thinking about what these women that cheat on you have in common with each other so that you learn to avoid picking this types of women to be with.

Sometimes people jump into a relationship to fast and haven't had the time together to really get to know if they are with "the one" that will last. . This means you didn't nor did the women in you past ! Take more time to get to know each other and then take some more, before you commit. Choosing a mate for life is no different than buying your dream house--- you want to make sure it has all the amenities you desire and is made of the finest material, so it will last a very long time + you have to ask yourself if you can afford the upkeep, because even the best things need somekind of repairs along the way.

Some people are self destructive without realizing. So in this example, the woman may be happy with you, but subconsciously think she doesn't deserve you so she will do this shameful act to ruin the relationship. Or she may be afraid of getting hurt so she messes things up before you can hurt her, whether or not you would. In other cases, the woman may be vulnerable to come ons from other guys, and perhaps self conscious, so, without thinking, she cheats. And then there are people who just cheat. Who just don't care about how it will affect the relationship.
I am certainly not justifying cheating. I think it is an unforgiveable act. I'm just giving my opinion on why people may cheat.

Because "American" women are the only ones who cheat?!
America is the whole continent buddy, from the tip of Chile to the top of Canada, that's allot of women you're talking about.
I understand that you're hurting and/or upset, but thinking bad about ALL women won't make you feel any better.
Maybe she didn't feel everything was going well in the relationship, not that I'm trying to blame it on you. Maybe she was looking for something else.
I'd look at it this way, now at least you know she's no good and you can stop wasting your time on her!

I wouldn't put that label on ALL American women, A LOT of women do have to have drama in their lives because they are bored and have nothing better to do. Either that or they are just a busy-body that has to be in everyone else's business but their own.
Maybe you should be asking yourself why your women cheat on you, when you are obviously oblivious to what is going on in your relationship. Happy and content partners (both men & women) do not cheat.

Obviously the woman didn't think everything was going right.
There are some people who are never happy, some who live for drama and others that are dull as painted wall. I can't tell you what your girlfriend was looking for but on a whole I think women want a man they can respect, have fun with, and that they feel loved by.
Maybe she wanted more than you could give her?

I hope you can fins happiness If everything is going great women do not cheat. Men may think everything is going great but in reality it is not. American women like most other women do not like a lot of drama. I hope you can find happiness in your life, choose well.

It's not just women, men do the same thing, and it's not just Americans, it's everyone of the human race. Even animals who stay with the same animals for the rest of their lives cheat sometimes. It's basically mother nature to cheat. I read an article on it somewhere. Humans just love drama in general.

I don't think it's a woman thing. It's a people thing, and maybe to some extent a culture thing. I guess it's because they want the excitement of someone new, but then they like the security of the relationship so they cheat.

yes woman love drama and they love being loved. but it's for both sides, guys do the same thing so i guess it's just a way of taking risks and not disappointing others. that's all there is to it. people who cheat just like the thrill of it and even if a relationship is going good they still want to risk everything for that one other person.
