the anxiety comes from every aspect of your life situations....it's subtle and can make you down emotionally....so don't ignore it or put off with it...it'll come back to get you as long as you continue to ignore it...if you ever wanted to beat the anxiety and fear, you need to *be aware of* every single tiny bit of anxious reactions that has occurred....find out what things or which persons make you nervous, anxious, and then face it and deal with it until you can totally control yourself psychologically....then, you'll be less stressful, anxious and can relax yourself more and feel much better....

Yes, many people can and I have. It takes mind over your reactions. Understanding that there is a big difference between rational and irrational thoughts is the first step to defeating anxiety.

Next, you must figure out why you are having these attacks. They start for a reason. For example; I became very afraid of flying to the point where I needed to be medicated. The real reason for my anxiety had to do with my worsening marriage, I was married to an emotionally abusive person. Take a guess what happened when I decided to leave him? You got it, the anxiety pretty much left along with what was causing it!

If you Yahoo search under "The Last Temptation of George Petrie" you can read the story about how anxiety and depression left me broke and homeless. I don't think you can ever "beat" anxiety as it is necessary for survival but you can "beat" depression and panic attacks. I thought I could do it on my own and it slowly devoured me. Now, with the appropriate medications it is three years later and I am stronger than ever. I went to court and fought and won back almost everything I have lost. I still have some problems on a day to day basis but I am able to cope like "normal" people. best wishes
