Take a chance - risk it. Talk to this guy about how you feel and what you want. The most he can say is that he would prefer to remain friends and since you guys are already friends nothing will have changed, except that you can stop torturing yourself and move onto someone who will love you like you love them.

Yep, you have to tell him, and find out if he wants to be more than just your friend. If he don't then it's best that you don't live in a fantasy hoping he will come around. If he don't that don't mean there is anything wrong with you either !

well if he wants to just remain friends, then there is nothing more that you can do besides being his friend. trying to push him into a relationship will only end your friendship. and if he does succumb to the pressure of you saying you want to be with him, then pretty soon he will realize that it was a mistake to date you and then he'll break up, and you will be hurt and perhaps out of a friend. when a guy says he just wants to be your friend, just take his word and find a new prospective boyfriend.

You can't change it because you can't force someone to like another person. Try to get to know him as friends and then maybe your friendship will grow into something bigger and better. If not then you and him aren't meant to be.
