I saw a link to a 'Live Earth' site that reports all the ways they're trying to conserve. I heard that solar power was used and there were nine different area's reserved for different recycling bins.
So, I see there are still ignorant people babbling on about what a waste of energy. What a waste of education it was to teach these people to read when they clearly do not.

I think its great . Reminds me of the old Woodstock days when everybody got together that's what we need in this country . All you that are complaining about it well i hate to say this but you remind me of my mom and dad bitching about long hair back in the day completely missing the point that people actually care. Are you all blind? I cant understand why a group of people trying to do good would bother you all so much . Personally i hope it starts a revolution the way we have to live now really sucks except for the rich me me me people. Power to the people .Time for a change and go high tech and catch up with the times

Do you really think that there are 7 stadiums in the worlg large enough to hold 1/3 of the worlds population? You can't really count the gathering in D.C. They only had a few hundred. Come on.

after all of the flick off and live earth commercials, i changed a lot. my family and i hang our clothes to dry as much as possible, we wash them in cold water, i'm unplugging my computer and lots of other things when they're not in use ( i didn't know that they used energy even when turned off), i think about everything before i throw it out (can it be recycled or not?), i try to get in and out of the shower as fast as possible, i brush my teeth in the shower lol, and i don't like leaving lights on when nobody is in the room anymore, and we compost now. so...yeah, it changed me a lot.

I watched the artists i like...Crowded House, The Police, etc. But I would watch them anyways.

I thought the propaganda was way overboard though.

Two billion people did not attend the concerts. Add up the stadium sizes man. They don't add up.

I can't help but wonder at the private jets used to fly the performers in. I wonder at the amount of traffic jams created as all the spectators tried to get to the stadiums. I wonder about the amount of electricity used to power the amps that drive that huge wall of speakers used in NYC, and what about the lighting? Those look like regular spots and can lighting, not flourescent! How many Hummers drove artists from the airport to the concerts? Remember if you mix up the letters of "Live Earth" it spells "Evil Heart". Just a couple observations.

I think they wasted a lot of energy. Have you noticed that the people that cry the loudest about global warming use more energy than the rest of us? They have huge houses that consume large amounts of energy, drive around in cars that use lots of gas, fly around in private planes... why would anyone with any sense at all listen to what these hypocrite's have to say? They fail to tell you that the moon and Mars both have higher than usual temperatures. Is it because of the sun? Most likely.
