The creators are mormon and so they talk about god a lot. However, my fan fiction focuses more on sexual activity and less on philosophy and all that god stuff.
So do any of My fans have a preference?

Hello,
I much liked the 1970's series better though even that went down hill in time. The idea was originally that our ancient civilizations began with that civilization of Adama's who had to flee total destruction and find a new world away from the evil Cylons. The pilot movie showed lots of Greek style mythology; especially when they were lured into that insect world, seduced by a life of luxury by insect creatures only to end up as potential food for the larvae. Something like the Odessy stories. You saw a lot of symbolism like the viper pilot's helmates looking like Egyptian head dresses etc.
Our civilization and religious myths were to have come from them but sadly the writings really went down hill and became corny after season 2 as I remember.

Well if you're dealing with cylones then it would make sense. But I don't know if the entity that they are referring to has anything to do with the Christian concept of God (at least not that I can think of).
Cylones seem to fornicate and kill on a whim, and they only talk about what "God wants".
Then again some cylones are more religious then others.
The humans serve Greek Gods, but most humans aren't particularly religious. So there it could be avoided.
If you're just wanting to write about sex I wouldn't worry too much about it.
