I agree we should not argue.

But civilized conversation is always a good thing.

I try to answer sincere questions in a sincere way and not argue. Hopefully most of the time I am successful.

With love in Christ.

Yes, we'll all know the answer soon enough. Let me pose a similar question. One hiker is talking to his friend about going for a walk down a certain trail. His friend saw a bear cave along that trail a few days before, along with paw prints. What is the point of arguing whether or not he should walk down that trail? Why not go ahead? He'll find out soon enough whether there's a bear down the trail.

As long as people base their decisions in life on their religious beliefs, it is vitally important to debate those beliefs.

Belief in something which isn't true often leads to great harm.

Faith can be used to justify anything. That is why it shouldn't be used as justification for anything.

Only through vigorous debate and the realization that faith is not a sufficient basis for belief will humanity ever come to realize the truth about the world we live in.

Some of us want to hear the other side of the story, not just our own...nothing wrong with that. Besides, we only learn something if there's an opposing view.

You're right though, we may never find the answer soon (or in our lifetime anyway).

It is important to me to search out the truth in all forms possible. I want to know as much as I can on these ideas.

Debate is a major aspect of this and I believe that it is necessary for us to challenge each others' opinions and discuss our own to foster understanding.

When you die, you will stand in front of a holy and perfect God. Once you are there, you will know the answer. By then it will be to late. Accept Jesus as your personal Saviour, and your life will totally change. Jesus is the ONLY way. Amen!
