Cooking is really easy...Don't let it intimidate you. First find out if HE cooks. Surely he knows you lack experience with cooking, if he doesn't communicate it with him and make it a common task, that way if you fail you BOTH worked at it.
Is he a breakfast fan? Simple. Buy some break fast sausage, cook it up in a pan on the stove top on medium heat. Start some biscuits in the oven before you cook the sausage...Just follow the directions on the package (buy the pillsbury frozen biscuits)
when the sausage is brown pull it from the pan. Reduce the heat on the pan add salt and pepper to the grease. Add flour a teaspoon full at a time to the grease, mix it until you have a thin paste. Add milk and mix it while increasing the heat, not more than medium heat on the stove top-stirring frequently. Keep stirring until the gravy thickens (white gravy). If it doesn't thicken, take milk and a container with a tight fitting lid, add about 1/4 cup of milk and either flour or corn starch (about a teaspoon at a time) shake it up, and add it to the gravy, stirring until it thickens. Heat until it bubbles (never heat above medium heat) crumble the cooked sausage and add it back to the gravy. Take cooked biscuits (should be browned if cooked properly) out of the oven, split them, place them on a plate and pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits. Once you get the hang of this. Take some shell eggs and crack them into a bowl add a small splash of milk, beat them with a fork and pour them into a pan on medium heat and stir frequently. Cook until they are not runny and don't let them brown. They should be solid. These are scrambled eggs.
Later you can scrub a potato under hot water, slice it thinly, throw the slices into a pan of preheated oil and cook covered until they start to brown and are soft turning them to ensure they are all thoroughly cooked.
Add all of these components together and you have a breakfast that will satisfy most men...No its not good for you but is tastes great....
Want a dinner. Take ground beef, cook it in a pan until browned over medium heat. Add frozen chopped onions and green peppers. A package of taco seasoning mix that has been mixed per package directions. Add two cans of refried beans or chili beans. Mix thoroughly. Spoon into a baking pan...11x9.5 or similar size. top with a mexican or colby blend of shredded cheese add nacho flavored doritos (crumbled) bake at 350 degrees for about 15 to 25 minutes or until the chips start to brown. Serve with a salad...Very good and filling. Vary it by adding corn or some other item such as green beans. It will be a success.
Key thing to remember is to know what he likes. And learn to cook it. If he is a good man he will love you for it, even if it doesn't turn out well every time.

buy a cookbook
throw together meals that include some kind of meat or fish, and any kind of potato (cut it up, mash it, french fries, potato salad) and a vegetable or two (anything from a can or a frozen bag). You can buy ready-made things at the grocery store.
You can start with Ragu spaghetti with meat sauce and a box of noodles. Buy some parmesan cheese.
You can buy a whole already cooked chicken at the grocery store (just add potato and veggies).
you can buy some lean ground beef and add katsup and onion and either make patties or put tinfoil around it and over it and put it in the oven 325 for a half hour or more (make sure it's not red inside anymore but make sure it's not burnt either (keep the tinfoin on top. REMOVE as much grease as you can. Add potatoes and veggies.
You can have fish sticks, maccaroni and cheese (buy it in a box and add milk), plus make or buy a light dessert (pudding or fruit).
That will give you enough time to read the cookbook and get some ideas...there are lots of recipes online.

Well, then let him take over the kitchen. It sounds like he's really into food and lots of guys a much better cooks than the women they're with.
Just wondering: is this somethig you just found out after you got married? That he likes to eat at home? And he never knew that you can't cook?
I say, let him cook. Offer to go shopping or do (some) of the clean-up. But normally, the cook should clean up after himself and not leave the mess to someone else.

What I suggest you do is go to one of those stores that you can create home cooked meals in advance. You chose the menu you assemble it and then they are packaged up and you put them in your freezer and simply pop them in the oven when you are ready to cook them. I am a very good cook, but I learned from watching my mom. What I suggest you do is get a betty crocker cookbook and just practice. That is the only way to learn. It sounds like you really want to please your husband which is wonderful. Even if it doesn't come out right he will love the effort that you are putting into it and believe me you will become a pro after awhile. I promise... Goodluck!!

Just give it a shot, you never know you could be a natural, but to be honest with you if he can cook let him cook to. Both my parents cooked so. And I cook so he needs to get with the program, cause it's a fool that has to wait for a meal. But you know about boiling water, throw some pasta in it and read the directions, and set the timer...stuff like that.....Prego works well, lol....packaged salad, put some dressing on.....could be easier than you think.

im a bloke and i do most of the cooking in my house. If ur husband knows u cant cook(and he should by now, dont u think?), then drag his fat *** off the couch and into the kitchen.u do ur best, sweetheart, and if its not good enough for him let him feed himself.okay...rant over...to answer ur question, just experiment. get urself a selection of spices and herbs, give urself a realistic budget to buy some food...and have fun. top tip tho, learn the basic 'white sauce'...takes about 5 minutes and 3 ingerdients, then flavour and colour at will, itll spice up any meal to ur taste

He may now how and he could show you a thing or two. and it might be a fun way of spending some time together. other than that get a good cook book and follow the dirctions its really not that hard. Maybe your mother or father or his mother aunt whatever could give you a couple easy recipies to start with and you could call them if you get stuck at some point. Anyway start small steak and potatoes maybe meatloaf or home made mac and cheese!

We almost always have home cooked meals only eat out about twice a month so the answer to your question would be yes

I wrote this earlier to someone else, but I strongly recommend buying the "Joy of Cooking". It has tips on preparation and many recipes.
If I had been at your wedding, I would have bought it for you!
For tomorrow morning, take two eggs, beat them with a fork or whisk until the whites and yolks are blended, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Put a small frying pan on high heat (until the pan is smoking hot). Reduce the heat down to medium low. Put butter in the pan and let melt (but not brown). Add the eggs. When they bubble take a rubber spatula and break the cooked mass to allow the uncooked portion of eggs to get to the bottom of the pan. Add cheese. Do not allow eggs to brown.
Serve with toast (buttered with jelly).
Good luck!

find simple recipes from the web or cookbook, ones with just a few ingredients at first. Also ask his mother and yours for some of their recipes.
Don't let him get too upset about your cooking though if it don't turn out right. If he don't like it, then tell him not to eat it. If he says its not like his mama's then tell him its because his mama didn't cook it.
Be sure he does some of the cooking too, don't let him make you feel its all your responsibility.
