Well lava dog took the same answer I was going to say. But I will answer cuz I'm bored here.
Think of it this way. The army has 9 weeks of boot camp and the Marines have 12 weeks.
The Army went to the Marines to make their end of boot camp better. the crucible and victory march.
Since I'm ex Army I always say this.
you ask someone if they served.. the Army guy says "I was in the Army, I was in the Air Force. The Marine always says.
"I am a Marine"

Yeah, Marines are pretty HxC but I prefer Navy :)

The only thing the marines are good at is telling people how good they are. When it comes to actual fighting, they always pull back and ask the Army to come bail them out.
