I respect your answer.. and also answering in a very respectful manner.

Thank you.

But I do not believe in Free will.

Who are we to judge what Free will is?

Just as we are to create a fictional fantasy world, we can create the false idea of free will.

I can't answer this from a christian perspective
but as a Wiccan and just a (hopefully) reasonable person, I can say this has come to my mind MANY times and i agree with you very much, I'm glad someone else has thought of it too *here's a star*

Because it is the only option open to a God that is perfect love and perfect justice. God honors our choices, and is willing to forgive us when we ask for it. but if we do not he lets our choice stand. Here is an analogy:
Suppose I am a builder. I have built a "road of life" except right near the beginning it forks into two directions. One fork is through horrible landscape and perilous hazards, but before you start I tell you at the end of it is a paradise beyond imagination. The other fork is lush and beautiful and easy to traverse, but dead-ends in a cliff from which there is no escape. I tell you it's up to you which path to take. Am I evil?

This is the application of Free Will. We always have a choice, God permits us to choose. He always makes himself available for help, should we ask for it. If we choose to go on our own path, against his advice, he permits us. If he didn't then he would be removing our free will. Notice God never COERCES us, he offers to counsel us. But he lets us make our own choices, and the consequences that come with those choices are ours too.

because God gave you the choice of repentance so really you can easily get out of sin but so many dont want to they like their sin and dont want anyone telling what they can and cannot do. The only sin that will send you to hell is rejecting Christ because the only way to heaven is accepting him and obviously if you've accepted him truly why would you go to hell?

You have a chance to ask for forgiveness of your sins

You know what's wrong from what's right.

He tells us in St. John 3:5

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

This the way to to avoid the punishment for your sins.
Surrender all to Jesus. Believe in Him with all your heart. And be baptized.

God bless you

dear questioner,

we are offered the gospel of the saving grace of CHRIST.

we are told that Jesus, The Son, suffered tremendously and died in our place, to pay the penalty of our sins.

we are also told that as long as WE acknowledge that The Son died in our place, and that we RECEIVE Him into our lives, we have no fear of condemnation.

we are also very clear about this Man called Jesus, who indeed, did die on the Cross in history, and impacted the world so greatly.

so, ultimately, we are given a choice: to accept the grace of God, to be blessed by Him, and received by Him, or to choose the wrath of God, to accept punishment onto yourself, and be rejected by Him in heaven because of your sins.

so it is a choice. so how can you say that God punishes us? He gives us a choice. He gives us a brain to evaluate which is a good choice.

Because unrepentent sin separates us from God. So in a real sense, it is not God who condemns or punishes us but we do so to ourselves. Sins are not finite but last forever unless one repents and after death it is too late as our salvation is determined by the state of our soul at death.

because he's a f*cking sicko apparently. Do people ever think about what eternity actually means? We get punished for zillions and zillions of years for something we did during a period of time which in comparison to eternity is like a microscopic speck. That doesn't sound like a just or loving God to me

Because you chose to go to hell.

Sorry, but for Christians this is the truth.

G-d extended himself out to you and for them he has offered his son as your salvation. You have knowledge of this and ample opportunity to follow up on it.

Instead you turn your back on Jesus. This means, for Christians, that you turn you back on G-d.

You chose to live without G-d, you don't want G-d in your life. So he is simply giving you what you want, and existence devoid of him.

It's not so much about what sins you commit. It's about how you don't find sorrow and repentance and turn to Jesus. This is how you end up in hell. And I mean true repentance, not just someone mouthing that they are sorry for something and going out the next day and doing it again. It is about placing G-d first and not your own wants.

Does that make more sense now?

He dosen't. God reconciles all things unto Himself. There is no burning fire where sinners scream forever. That is babylonian myth, not Bible truth.

Because God works in mysterious, inefficient, and breathtakingly cruel ways.

You better love him. LOVE HIM, DAMN YOU!!
