does your decision to not eat meat have anything to do with your religious/spiritual beliefs?

fyi-mine do. i believe all living beings are connected and equally important and therefore i don't feel right eating them.

I don't want to cause any suffering if I can help it. The taste of meat doesn't justify killing an animal, and certainly not factory farming- the brutal torture of animals their whole lives.

Mine kind of does, not with my religious beliefs per say, but more with my spiritual ones. I believe in God, but I harbor a sort of Buddhist perspective towards life most of the time. I think that pain and suffering are something that shouldn't be inflicted on anything that is living whether it's a human or a rabbit. I think that by killing something that has lived a life of suffering and then ingesting the meat of it, you're basically eating suffering and cruelty and years of pain and torture. Not to mention, the flesh of a once-living creature. So yes, I'd say that my veganism is definitely connected to my spiritual beliefs, but it wasn't brought about because of them, just strengthened by them.

I completely consider you! this is tricky to make human beings comprehend. I tell maximum human beings that I do exactly no longer in basic terms like the flavor. If a individual truly is curious, i will tell them some clarification why it somewhat is a superb theory to be vegetarian. Like how the beef marketplace is undesirable for our environment, and how animals are dealt with very cruelly. and that i will clarify to them why a vegetarian weight-alleviation plan is easily healthful. If the guy asking me is a Christian I remind them that the Bible says that interior the start human beings and animals have been vegetarian. no longer that I care lots what the Bible says yet quoting from it somewhat is an user-friendly thank you to win an argument lol. some everybody is incapable of information, do no longer permit that complication you too lots. you have good motives for no longer eating meat, and that they are in a position to't exchange that.

I have been pursuing the "Alkalarian Vegan" lifestyle for 4.5 years,now..My inspirtations were Dr. Robert O. Young 4X phd and Jay Kordich(the juice man). My choice in eating habits has nothing to do with my Christian faith,in as far as being a mandatory requirement.

I just might juice some Kale,Celery, and Carrot tonight, yet.

EDIT I have never juiced one of my Bonsai Trees...hmmm I wonder if I have a shot glass lying around? How much juice could they yield?

For me it's about responsibility. I don't want to be responsible for the suffering of another life form. I know that given the choice of killing an animal or killing a plant I would always pick killing the plant. How can I consume what I'm not even willing to kill? It's a moral issue for me, not religious or spiritual.

I never liked the taste of meat, which probably says more about my Mom's cooking skills than my religious beliefs. Now the thought of eating dead flesh makes my flesh crawl.

Well, I have a couple reasons for not eating meat.

1) my personal sacrifice to Kali Ma
2) Why have something killed for me when I am perfectly capable of functioning as a vegetarian? ALL lives are connected.

It's been wrong to me since I was born. I abhor the thought of a soul being slaughtered for consumption. And, you couldn't be more right. All beings are connected.
