I was watching the race and I kept seeing Tony bump drafting Denny all around the track, even in the turns. Even if Denny did check up like Tony claims it was because Tony was bump drafting Denny in the turns which is a major "no, no" at Daytona.
Tony was way too aggresive with Denny and he paid the price; sadly Denny paid it with him and now there is a huge riff in the Team that needs to be mended before they get to Chicago.

Tony's a hotheaded crybaby and his unprofessional conduct is disgraceful. He screwed up. He had no business bumping Denny - a less experienced driver and a teammate - like that just to get the lead that early in the race. That kind of crap is usually reserved for the final laps of the race, just ask Brian Vickers. Then to blame Denny just emphasizes just what a self centered and reckless driver Tony is.
While Tony got just what he deserved, Denny was an unfortunate victim.

I think we all have to realize that we can't take what some drivers say to heart when they come straight out of their racecars after a bad run. I mean, how many of us have said something horrible in the heat of the moment?
That said, I think it was a combination wreck there myself. It seemed as if Denny did in fact slow down a little bit, but Tony was getting a little aggressive early on in the race. Tony bumped him, Denny got loose and couldn't get the car back under control, and next thing you know, they're both smashed into each other.
I guess 7/7/07 wasn't too lucky for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Combination. Tony got up close, got Denny a little loose, Denny checked up, and Tony didn't have anywhere to go.
But since it's a plate track, Denny should have known that Tony was there and expected the change in aero and not had to check up at that point of the turn.

Denny, he had checked up to tony and tony had nowhere to go, but i don't think it was right that tony said what he said in his interview about denny. I am a joe gibbs fan but denny made a big mistake.

Tony. Denny did nothing wrong. Tony got in to the back of him. And lets see who acted mature about it. Tony was freaking out even though he caused the wreck. Denny was just calm and pretty much i think he knew that tony caused it.

Tony. We've all seen a driver "suddenly" check up and back into the guy behind him. This wasn't like that, Hamlin was going slower than Stewart for the whole preceding half-lap. Stewart had ages to see that he was closing in on the #11 and either lift or move up the track to avoid him. What was he doing, checking his makeup in the vanity mirror?
