Should you? Yeah, probably.
Cats, for as much as they groom themselves, still carry diseases. I'm not going to bother to list them, but they're a couple. Not to mention the potential for infection with any one of billions of germs already crawling on your skin and the atmosphere.
It's always a good idea to wash your hands often... especially after something breaks the skin. But I personally, wouldn't bother.
It's up to you. There's a high probability you'll be fine either way you chose. But yes, you "should" wash it.

Absolutely. My wife was once scratched by a cat, had to go to the dr for antibiotics.
To the bathroom, NOW, wash at least 15 min, with an antibacterial soap, then put on an antiseptic.
Those same claws might have just been scratching around in a litter box.
PS You're not an idiot.

you technically don't have to, I have 3 cats and I know I've neglected a few cat scratches before because I was too busy. But it is best to wash the cut out and possibly use a little bit of Hydrogen Peroxide. Your cat walks through the litter box with those things lol. So you do want to clean it out very well, you don't want it getting infected. AND cat scratch fever is a real thing...so clean that sucker out!

Absolutely wash it with warm water and a mild soap, but a clean gauze pad over it and apply light pressure or wrap it with gauze roll so that the bleeding will stop.

Bleeding is the body's way of cleansing the wound. But you should wash the area with soap and water and put a bandage on to keep it clean until it heals.

You should wash any cut or scratch that you get with warm water and soap, preferably an antibacterial soap.

Yes, do as you would any wound. Any open wound can get infected especially from an animal that can have bacteria under its nails.
