I'm wondering what the difference between muscles and steamers are. If steamers is just the way muscles are cooked?..eh eh..yah

Not muscles, mussels.

Usually steamer means a clam, which is kind of like a mussel. A mussel grows on things, whereas a clam just stays on the ground.

Steamers are whole steamed clams. The others are animals called mussels. They are usually prepared by steaming as well. They look similar to a clam but they arn't and the texture is a little different.

They are two different animals. Steamers are soft shelled clams and mussels are mussels. Both are great steamed in white wine, garlic and onions.
