No they do not have Marines on Submarines in any official capacity including for nuclear weapons. Marines stop at the pier. A marine on a submarine would be pointless since he/she would have to give up his/her weapon upon crossing the pier.

There are very few instances where a Marine would be stationed on-board a submarine and one of them was already mentioned. The only other time you'll see a Marine on a submarine is if there are nuclear weapons on-board. Once put out to sea, the Marine would not be with the ships crew. He's only there to stand guard while in port.

To answer your question, NO there is no record of a Marine serving on-board a submarine as part of her crew.
added:
What would a Marine have to advise on-board a submarine? Who would you exchange said Marine with? Being a submariner is a specialized field no matter what your job is. The USMC doesn't have CT (as far as I know) and why would a submarine need a translator?

Marines do not serve as members of the Sub's crew. So your answer is no.

However the Marines may be aboard for some specific mission. maybe as part of a team to be inserted covertly on a hostile shore somewhere.

Marines are more known for their OVERT amphibious assaults and they even have specialized ships (Run by the Navy) just for inserting them ashore.

When a Sub puts a COVERT team ashore it is more likely to be a Navy SEAL Team, not Marines.

As to another answerer saying that Marines guard all captains of Navy Ships... NOT SO.

The Embarked Admiral of a command ship or other designated flagship would have a Marine Guard. Also a Ship that has a significant store of Nuclear Weapons would have a Marine Guard Attachment.

While I am sure they have very occasional served as ships company in an exchange or advisor role and there is bound to be a very very few cases of actual tours, they most certainly served routinely onboard throughout my 20 years (68-88) as a special rider ("Spooks") ......... CT or Intel or Tranlators or the like

My husband's on a sub, & occasionally they'll have Marines on there...especially if they are carrying nukes. But, I don't think there are any on there full time.
