about 6 months ago i guess, i was scratching my head and notices a lump on the very center of the top-back region of my head. it isnt the bump that everyone has at the back of the head where the neck and skull meet, its higher up.

i didn't pay it any mind at the time, i thought that maybe it had always been there. but i couldnt really recall.

recently my uncle had something similar removed from his head at the front region and it ocurred to me that i might have the same thing. it was a benign cyst and it was simply a growth of some sort, nothing harmful.

im thinking that i have the same thing, but im just wondering if anyone else has or has had anything similar to this.

thanks

p.s.: there no pain or anything like that, no discoloration, scarring, etc. just a lump under my skin.

Go to a doctor to have a look. My daughter had a bump in the neck show up suddenly an we caught it early enough. It was Hodgkin's Lymphoma. she had a few rounds of Chemo and some radiation to get rid of it. But just to be sure it is nothing, see a doctor. Our family Dr had no Idea what it was and referred us to See an ear Nose and throat Dr before the week was done and asked us to let them know if we unable to get in, that was Monday. we saw the ENT Thursday and had a biopsy on the following Monday and she had surgery Before the week end. so get to the Dr as soon as possible as if it is a fast growing it could be more than a bump soon. Put your mind at ease.

Omg I have exactly the same thing. I'm a 13 year old girl! My doctor prescribed me a medicine called Sanomigran Elixir, and said it's just migraines, but I've found a lump. It won't be brain cancer, unless you've been throwing up a lot.

99 % it's completely harmless. Those lumps on the scalp are really common, and you don't have to have it removed unless it grows. I've had one for years and I haven't even had it checked out (I'm scared of doctors). I thought it was cancer so I checked every medicine book and internet site and believe me, I'm now an expert on scalp lumps.
Don't worry!

Yes, it is likely a harmless sebaceous cyst. I've got one in the same place you describe. It is not necessary to have them removed unless they get infected.

it's an alien implant. That's how they keep track of where you are and where you've been.
