Pugs are a great dog! Mine is three and super loyal, but not old lady loyal. She loves anyone who comes around her. A couple of things to watch out for though. Their eyes can pop out of socket a little easier than most dogs if their is some sort of trauma. This happened to my dog but it went back in and with some medicine it is back to normal. Also they do shed all year round and are incredibly noisy, but I like that feature. As far as other dogs are concerned they like to think they are in charge so just be careful. Hope you get one, you won't regret it.

this is so cool!!!! we just got a little black pug from someone who couldn't keep her anymore { because she moved!!!!} i was apprehensive at first, i've never had a dog before, and my friend kept trying to discourage me!!!! she likes big dogs!!!! anyway, she is the sweetest thing in the world!!! she is black and five years old!!!she was used for breeding!! everything that everyone else has said, is true!! they don't bark, don't bite, eat very little, they are very loving and loyal companions, they listen, they are just great!!! if you are thinking of buying a puppy, they can be rather pricey!! the breeder that i got coco from { my pug}, sold her puppies anywhere between six and eight hundred dollars!! if you get one from a pet shop, they usually go for about a thousand!! i would do what the others said, get one from a shelter!!
the only thing i would warn you of,is that they have nasal problems!! they sniff and snort and make weird noises!! they also snore, pretty loud!!! but, if you can stand it , they are great dogs!!! and this is coming from a not-so-dog person!!
hope that i helped!!!! i'm so excited that you asked this!!!

Adopt from a rescue centre! A young adult or older dog. You find purebred and mixed breed at a rescue shelter. Rescue dogs are alot cheaper than breeders and pet store dogs and also look at the shelter, not just what is available online, because there is only a small section of dogs available online! many more available in the shelter and look at the shelter dogs before deciding on the breed!

I've got a 2 yr old named Kacie, she was $83 to adopt from the ASPCA. She's pretty low maintenance, doesn't shed much and is everybody's friend, rarely barks, and has never bit anyone
