Carpenters at that time had to embrace ALL the building skills, not just carpentry. So I suspect that Bob Vila would lose hands down not only in the skills department, but in having to employ the skills with primitive tools.

bob vila isnt really a carpenter, hes an actor. and jesus was only the son of a carpenter, and im sure he spent most of his time comming to terms with the fact that he had to die on a cross so i could be absolved of the sin of having premarital sex...
so they would both suck at actual carpentry

Well the devil does find work for idle hands. But I guess if Bob worked like hell, and moved heaven and earth, he’d probably be my choice. Of course, all hell might break loose and there’d be hell to pay. Maybe Jesus could just sub out the job to Bob, then it’d be a match made in heaven

Bob Vila is a pretty cool guy but when he dies on a cross for anyone---let alone for a world (that hates him for doing it)....well then his "skills' will reign supreme!

Of course. Jesus is fictional, and not even related to a carpenter.
