Well, you're actually a Doctor, Pangolin, I just wanted to know if any of the surgeons where you work would be willing to talk to me about the career? I'm a 15-year-old Sophomore in High School, and I want to go into Surgery, and I just thought talking to a Surgeon would be especially enlightening, or actually talking to YOU, like over AIM or MSN or something?

Sorry, I don't do the AIM thing...

What you should do, is call your local hospital and explain that you want to find out about surgery, and ask if they have any programs that would let you do that. Another place to learn more would be an Explorers program in health, if they have one in your area.

If you volunteer at a hospital, you might get to interact with surgeons and be allowed into the OR as an observer.

There are a lot of surgeons who love to share their work with potential doctors. If you take the initiative to find one, you might get to learn a lot about what they do.

The worst they can do is say "no", so give it a try!

(Suggestion: the punk look won't get you very far. We're still rather old-fashioned in the medical field. Well-dressed, polite and respectful WILL go a long way, and will open a lot of doors for you.)

Good luck!
