1. When a person's eye is cut by glass like a shard, will he/she go blind? Ans - When a person's eye is cut from the front, there are 50 50 chances of his/her becoming blind. The reason is simple. We perceive our vision through rods and cones at the back of the eye which is known as retina. Now if front portion, which is known as lens, is damaged, then it can be treated surgically by implanting a synthetic lens, which can restore vision. However, if blood vessels as well as the retina is damaged, then there are chances of blindness. 2. What can cause blindness in one eye? (not disease-related) Ans - There are a number of factors. Not taking proper care of eyes, Ignoring cataract. However, if you don't have nay diseases, then chances of getting blindness just like that is nil since our eyes are quite strong. Blindness can happen either by birth or through some accident or disease, not just like that. 3. When a person has monocular blindness, does he/she look completely normal? Normal in the sense that nobody can tell that said person has lost vision in one eye. Ans - Yes, people with monocular blindness look completely normal, unless the person has become blind due to hyperglycemia, wherein white patches do occur on the lens. else nobody can specifically tell that a particular person is monocularly blind. 4. When you have monocular blindness, do you lose your vision gradually or immediately? Ans. Generally, people with monocular blindness do not lose their vision in the other eye unless they suffer from some degenerative form of disease or it is caused by hyperglycemia. Otherwise, a monocularly blind person can see through the other eye for entire lifetime, and blindness in one eye cannot cause blindness in other eye without any specific reason.

With the newer types of insulin these days, diabetic diets aren't necessarily as restrictive as they used to be. Read here https://tr.im/MHtYq
As with any medicine or diet change, you should discuss it with your doctor. Fruits, both fresh and dried, have a natural sugar in them that will raise blood sugar levels, so be careful about eating too much. Not sure about the nuts. Moderation is always the key. I've been diabetic for 18 years and just recently changed insulin types. I love it because it gives me more freedom in when and what I eat.
