Well, just look at the stats.
They both have lasted for over two thousand...
Christianity = Years
Mormonism = Months
Christianity has 2 Billion 72 Million members while Mormonism has 12 Million 5 Hundred Thousand Members.
So if the Mormon missionaries (or perhaps they could do it through polygamy) were to gather 2 Billion 59 Million 5 Hundred Thousand more members they would be as large as Christianity, which is the largest religion in the world.

Your point really makes no sense. Mormonism is a subset of Christianity. So it doesnt matter how many Mormons there are, there will always be more Christians because there will always be some Christians who arent Mormons.

I'm not religious. But I love Jesus and believe he is the son of God. Here is why. Jesus either had to be insane, the best con artist of all time, or he was who he said he was. ALL religions regonize Jesus. All of them recognize him. They say he was a great guy, a great teacher, blah, blah, blah. But they don't say he was whacked, insane or even displayed signs of mental illness. So, you have to decide, was Jesus who he said he was or was he messed up? There is no other faith that offers you a savior none. People like to say, "hey, if I'm good enough, I'll get to heaven." That's like saying "if I'm a good enough swimmer, I can swim to Hawaii!" NOT! You'd need a life raft! That's the same thing here. Jesus is the life raft. Mormon's believe in works and a bunch of other stuff. They've done a marvelous marketing job no doubt. But the bible is simple and clear. You receive by faith. That's the deal and the whole deal. If all things are possible, then what was Jesus for? All things are NOT posssible. The bible is really clear and you don't need Joseph Smith you need only Jesus Christ. The rest is just chin boogie!

You are comparing one denomination to thousands of denominations. Why not compare the Church to Methodist or Baptist numbers? Also, you ask a question, then you begin talking about numbers. What are you attempting to do here?
But, to answer your question, the basic beliefs of Mormons are the same as the basic beliefs of other Christian faiths. I'm talking about basic beliefs, such as the Atonement. After you leave the basic facts, none of the churches have much in common.
For example, some churches allow organs or pianos in church services. Others do not believe in any musical instruments. Other services have drums and guitars.
Another example, some churches believe in baptism to be saved, other churches don't. Churches that believe in baptism perform this differently. You can submerge, sprinkle, or pour. There is also a difference of age restrictions.
Why don't you ask a more specific question. Ranting and raving doesn't prove anything.

Yes but of those of Christianity I think 2 billion are members of Roman Catholics or Eastern Orthodox Churches.
Mormonism is a sect of Christianity.
They both believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins.
They both believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
They both believe in the bible.
Most christian sects like the Mormons, Catholics and Eastern Orthodox believe with the atonement of Jesus Christ you must live a good life.
Protestants believe in Grace only.
Mormons also believe in the book of Mormon. The Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price.
Catholics have a pope.
Mormons have a prophet of God.
Protestants....they don't have someone that talks to God at all.

We Mormons at the instant are not likely "a factor" of Christianity. Our ideals are unusual and distinctive because of the fact we beleive that the powers and authority of heaven replaced into lost from the Catholic church, on an identical time as early as 3 hundred advert. All off-shoots from that have various tiers of blunders and a great style of classic Christian beleifs are diversions from the unique teachings of Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a restoration of those lost truths by using modern-day prophecy and visitation of angels. we are actually led by using Jesus Christ, and each member has the present of the Holy Ghost as a consistent better half to steer and practice us, provided we stay worth by using work out faith in Christ and attempting to obey His commandments. you may desire to declare that we are a not a factor of recent Christianity, yet on account that we do actually stick to Christ, we are very plenty Christian. P.S. you're suitable approximately different Christians not accepting lots of our beleifs. yet we are an extremely faith-crammed human beings (or a minimum of, a lot of human beings are - no-one's ideal! we are all turning out to be). God isn't silent. He has a residing prophet on earth immediately.

id love to know where you got your information, cause at last check, Buddhism was the religion with the most followers at almost 3 billion( dont forget china, the largest country in the world with 1.6 billion who are predominantly Buddhist)
as for the whole morman thing, only excommunicated mormons still practice polygamy and it is illegal for them to do so, so theres no population explosions that way.
my personal thought is that mormons will never populate the earth as a major religion, as the average person has enough common sence not to follow a religion that several of the founders thereof renounced....

Well, considering the fact that the name of the church you are referring to is the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, I would say that LDS members are Christian and included in the 2.072 billion members. But break that down further. Catholicism is the ONLY Christian faith with more members than Mormonism.
Also, get more of your facts straight, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints no longer practices polygamy.
Below is a link to the official LDS website and another site with FACTS about the faith:

The Mormons believe we all lived in Heaven with Heavenly Father, several Heavenly Mothers, and 20 Billion Heavenly Siblings before we were born here on Earth. Then there was a war. The good guys won and were born White. The bad guys lost and became demons. Those who were neutral or did not fight bravely were born with non-white skin. The bravest of the brave were born to Mormon families.
We all know that Romney must have been a "Valliant Warrior" in the "War in Heaven" during the "Pre-Existence". How else could he have been born "White and Delightsome" to an LDS family here on Earth? Heck, he was probably one of the Commanding Generals . Now , America needs a President with valuable military experience like that to get us through our war in Iraq. Could you please ask "The One and Only True Prophet", Gordon Hinkley, to please release those valuable records to the public? We need to know what battles he fought in. How many medals he won. How many of the "Less Valliant Soldiers" he recommended being born with black skin when they got their chance to be born on Earth. Was Al Sharpton one of THEM ? How about Jesse Jackson? Mormons, this is your chance to show the world the light of the everlasting gospel. Dont miss out. We have General Romney running for president of the USA and we need you badly right now!

Christians never practiced polygamy but Mormons were notorious for taking several lovers.
The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints is the only church in the United States that accepted polygamy. No other church has accepted the taking of multiple lovers.

according to the book mormons are considered a Christian religion and I don't think that Christianity is the largest religion in the world. I thought muslims was?or someone told me that
However being the most does not make it right or wrong.
Jesus said those being saved are few in comparison to all the people in the world.
