I was thinking that we would have to go back to polygamy for just a while so that we could create another increase in membership.

After all if we didn't have polygamy the church would not have lasted for well over a thousand months!

You do not think like a LDS Mormon.

You are very fake, for the following reasons:

1. Polygamy is no longer practice.
2. Membership has grew thousand times more since the polygamy days.

3. No faithful member would even make that kind of suggestion, which could be grounds for disfellowship.

4. Only the Holy Ghost can recruit members, and not by schemes you suggested.

Sheesh.......

*mutter under breath about dumb people who can't understand a parabolic curve...*

Actually, as stated, the LDS church is the fastest-growing Christian (yes, some will question that) church. If you know what a parabolic curve is (remember in calculus?), that type of curve accurately describes the growth of this church.

*LMBO- more muttering about some who think "Christians" and religious people are all dumb, can't/won't think for themselves, reject any kind of education and learning...hahaha- calculus class....*

Recruitment is done by the Holy Ghost. As a former missionary, I know first hand that I was merely the messenger. The message does the recruiting.

Also, we only count LIVING members (unlike the Jehovah's Witnesses, who also include deceased members in their reports). Every single one of those 12 million+ members are living and breathing and over the age of 8.

I have a question for you, LDS neighbor-- Are you Christian? If you are, then why are you being so mean?... Does the term "Golden Rule" mean anything at all to you??

(Y'know, this guy sounds like TAN MAN...)

Lowest? The Church has never had more members. Are you sure you are understanding the numbers correctly? You do realize that you need to compare numbers from this year with numbers from last year not with other churches dont you?

You need to get your facts straight. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is one of he few churches which continues to grow. The Church did not need, and does not need, polygamy to "recruit" members.

If you are a "LDS Friend," then why are you asking such silly questions.

Just to clarify. For the past 10 years or so, the LDS church has actually grown more than any other denomination.

What do you mean, membership at it's lowest? You mean the number of convert baptisms? These things go in cycles.

What do you mean at it's lowest. There are like 12 million members. The church is growing and will continue to. Because it's true.

I'm sorry "LDS Neighbor", but your avatar looks more like an Evangelist to me. Do you know Pastor F. Art, per se?

Yeah right, let's bring sin into the church in order to bring more people into church. What is wrong with this picture? Want to know how to really bring more people into your church? Try following the doctrine of Jesus Christ, instead of the doctrine of Joseph Smith. That would be one step in the right direction.
