I was straightening my bangs and the heat like, traveled up through them and majorly burned my forehead, thankfully, you can't SEE it, but I certainly feel it...the straightener was on 395 degrees!!! I realize it doesn't need to be that high, but it was....Is there anything I can do for them, without messing them up, because they actually managed to look nice after that incident!!! Or am I just hopeless, I am just not having a good day!! I discovered MAJOR dry skin on my hands (they are NEVER dry) and the skin is peeling around my ring! Then I tripped over my door stopper, and kinda hurt my toe when I went to try and fix my make-up! So now, I am laying on my bed, hoping that I can't get hurt here!! HELP!?

how do you know I'm not going anywhere today? I was getting ready to leave!!!!!!! My question was "Is there anything I can do to take the sting or burn out of it?" Or is there anything you recommend for dry skin!!! I obviously DO watch where I am going, but the door stopper was not in its usual spot!!! Thanks to those who were not sarcastic or rude to me!!!

Okay first of all, aloe straight from the plant. Find a plant, break off the end - it will not die- and place it on the burn. If that is not available, use straight aloe - suggested for sunburns. When straigtening your hair, try numerous quick pulls with the straightener, instead of one long one - less likely to burn your hair off your head. Dry skin and the skin around your ring (this part happened to me). Apply a chap stick medication - Carmex or something. it helps seal in the moisture. Take your ring off at night. You may be allergic to the metal - try coating the ring in clear nail polish. Keep the ring off until it heals. My wedding ring is off right now, cuz the same thing is happening to me. It also happened wth my purity ring. It could be caused by a cleaning agent and the chemical reaction your ring is having to it.

So, aloe for the burn, chapped lip treatment for the finger and hands - even though they are not chapped.

Then, next time something like this happens in a series of events. Stop what you are doing and pray. Just get before the Lord. Ask him to Help fix your attitude and day. He will, he is faithful.

1. See if you can manage to find Cortaid without killing yourself on your next trip to the bathroom. That will help heal the burn on your forehead....don't worry about the bangs right now because you are not going outside in a car today.
2. Take the ring off and put some lotion on your hands after taking your makeup off.
3. Flip on the TV or go back online and try to stay calm and back away from the front door.

Get some natural (not synthetic) vitamin E oil. Capsules will do. Break the capules open and rub the oil on your forehead. This will help with the scaring. Arnica is also brilliant for burns and wound healing for initial harm reduction.

Apply a cool rag to the burn and some aloe vera gel or aloe vera straight from the plant. I don't know what you mean by "Is there anything I can do for them, without messing them up......."

next time place a comb between you and the straightener and you need a deep moisturizing lotion for your dry skin applied often

oh yeah i've done that once or twice, there's not much you can do--but you can put toothpaste on your forehead to prevent it from scarring through.
