if that person is your best friend then i guess you can talk to him and trust him. so go to him and talk about it.

i went throught the same thing and never told the man until after he was married. the best thing to do is tell him and be truthful. let him know that you are ok being friends. it will help and if he is truly your friend he will tell you the truth and if he doesn't feel the same way, he will treat you he same as before. My friend knows now, but we are too good of friends to start anything now. He left his wife and is now single, but I am not. nothing is different between us now even though we both know how each other feels. He eventually admitted to having additional feelings for me too. But then it was too late.
If you really like him, tell him. True friendship can withstand hurricanes.

I have the same problem,I think you should probably tell him, but in a casual way, ask if he wants to go to the movies ( of course as friends) then during an exiting or scary scene hold his hand, it is subtle but still points out your intentions.

Yes, be honest and say to them that they are a wonderful friend, that you have strong feelings for them and if they do, you want them to say so you can go that one stage further. If not, then you will not be ofended and will not mention it again. Hopefully you will have happy and surprising results. Honesty is the best policy

I think you should tell him. How would you feel if years later he married someone else and you still liked him, and he confessed you were his first choice too?
Tell him. If he is truly your friend he still will be either way.
