Spaghetti Carbonara:
Boil spaghetti noodles for two, set aside when finished al dente.
Meanwhile, chop bacon in to small squares (1cm x 1cm) and cook in a small frying pan
When bacon is cooked to a crisp, pour into the drained pasta pot with the pasta, crack an egg into the mixture over very low heat, sprinkle in parmesan cheese liberally to your taste and add a tablespoon of sour cream. Mix together until the egg no longer looks runny and the pasta is coated in a creamy, cheesy sauce. Serve with a garden salad tossed with oil and vinegar dressing and a frosty summer drink. Enjoy!

Bacon and Egg Slabs
Grease a rectangular oven dish and line with flaky pastry. (I use ready rolled)
Fry off trimmed and diced bacon and allow to cool on paper towels. Place in dish and make wells to drop 4 eggs in. Pierce the yolks and cover with another sheet of pastry. Pierce the pastry several times with a knife for steam vents. Brush with milk.
Bake in a 180C oven for 35-45 minutes until the pastry is golden.
Turn out and allow to cool a little then cut in 75mm squares.

BLT is good for dinner maybe with some fries and a pickle on the side. Grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon and tomato. Or Bacon, turkey ham and cheese club sandwich......or wrapped the bacon around a steak.....or a burger with bacon.

I make a BLT pizza. I bake off a pizza crust (I get the balls of dough at the grocery store) until it's lightly browned, I brush it with a little olive oil first. Let it cool slightly and smear on some Hellmanns mayo, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and a whole lot of cooked crispy bacon, season lightly with salt and pepper, slice and serve. My husband loves it as much as I do.

Bacon Fried Rice (using eggs, peas, bacon, rice and soy sauce)
Wrap your bacon around your ground beef patties, secure with a toothpick and cook. Viola! Poor man fillet mignon!

Funny you should ask. We are about to cook BLT's on English Muffin (lightly toasted) with very lightly buttered, mayo, bacon, leaf lettuce, homegrown tomatoes slices, and I like a slice of cheese; hubby doesn't. On the side we are having Campbell's canned pea soup made with milk; pick your own flavor. Watermellon, too. Healthy or not, that's what we are having.

you could wrap the bacon around a hamburger patty and cook it like that or you could wrap it around a small steak. also you can use it as seasoning in green beans, peas, lima beans. cut a few jalapenos length wise , scoop out the seeds and fill cavity with Philly cream cheese and wrap with bacon. cook in oven for about 20 min at 350 or until cheese starts oozing out.
