Amtrak is faster than Greyhound, not only because they do not have to stop for traffic lights as Greyhound does, but also because they are allowed to travel at faster speeds than Greyhound. Also, Amtrak is better because you can get up and walk around while the train is in motion, unlike Greyhound where you're basically stuck in the seat until the bus stops. Hope this helps you with your decision!!!!

is there an amtrak station in Ann Arbor or do you only go to Detroit. Check that first.
You may still end up on the bus.

Depends on how quick you want to get there and how much your willing to spend. Taking the bus is a bit longer but cheaper. Depends on your preference. I'd prefer the train. I've taken the bus on a 1300 mile trip and it wasnt pleasant.
