Dont stand by the sink when there is an electrical storm. Lightening will come up the drain and strike you in the face! Supposedly she knew somebody this happened to. A friend of a friend. It has left me terrified of peeing during thunderstorms.

As a child: Don't pick your nose. Don't back talk. Smile and respond when people you're introduced to are speaking to you (father was a minister and I was shy). How to make sure my clothes matched. If I got in trouble in school, when I got home I was in trouble again. Don't call names. Turn off the light when you leave the room. .......and I LOVE YOU. I have a great Mom.

I don't have a mom. and I don't remember what she use to say to me.
My dad says "shut up and go to bed" "did you do your homework?" "Are you playing on that stupid computer again."
Why do parents look at you and see that your on the computer and then ask? Is it that they need that verbal message, seeing isn't enough.
He says "You know" then tells me. If I know then why is he telling me?
Or my very best favorite of all time: "do you have any clothes?" See dad my closet is full of clothes. that should have been his first tip of.
then he says: "are any of them clean?"
Why would anyone hang up dirty clothes?
Now I know why he isn't married.

My father raised me but Moms said, what did mom say, I don't recall any statement being a reminder but I love the ole gal anyway.

My mother died at my birth, but I'm sure she would say "DON'T PUT TOO MUCH PEPPER into that Maztah soup!"
