Hey, you know, it just occurred to me that, ok, yeah, god Hates you and all but he wouldn't hate you if you ate beetles or dogs. Go and...be abominable no more.

Seriously...why is shellfish an abomination but not dog meat?

It's more commonly authorized in mainstream Christianity that the dietary restrictions of the legislation of Moses (as good as circumcision and animal sacrifice) were no longer necessary after the Resurrection. Nevertheless, both the old and New Testaments converse out strongly against homosexuality. Or, if we're watching at this from a Jewish standpoint, a breach of kosher legislation outcome in temorary private uncleanness, moderately without difficulty absolved. For homosexual acts and different sexual perversions the encouraged punishment is dying by stoning. I suppose it's clear which one the Lord considers extra of an abomination.

this brings up a paradox in the bible. let's say God did away with dietary laws. Abomination is a strong word. One of the following has to be true by even the simplest standards of logic:

1. God's declaration of these items as abominations were not true.

2. God changed his mind about them being an abomination.

3. The person who wrote either the old testament take on these things or the person who wrote the new testament take on these things is wrong.

there is no way something is considered so foul that there are special laws in place directly from god forbidding them sudddenly becomes good. If that is the case, god could easily declare any one of them or anything now good. God could easily declare Satan, sin and even sodomizing rabbits as being ok!

He doesn't. The old laws from the Old Testament concerning all that are no longer applicable. Jesus's death on the cross took care of it all.

Don't worry, you're cool. God loves you.
