Then you must have the answer to where all the material came from that made up the universe. You know, the soil, minerals, gases, water, ice, that make the planets, suns, asteroids, galaxies, etc.
If God didn't have a beginning, then the material that makes up the universe must have had a beginning. Where did it all come from if God didn't create it? Bang don't work. Something had to cause the bang and create the material.
Just because I don;t know the answer to something doesn't mean god exists!! Crazy logic.....

It makes more sense because the bible says God is eternal, while it doesn't say that about the universe. The bible says God created the universe, so the universe couldn't have always been there. This is all true because the bible says it and I don't wanna think for myself.

I've been here a long time too. I only have a 4% rating because I don't give answers that people want to hear. I give answers according to God's word.

No, because we know there is a universe and we know something does not come from nothing so the universe has to have always been there. Maybe not in the same form as it is in now but the material for the universe has to have always been there in one form or another. Energy is part of the universe it has also always been there. Compressed energy can cause a spontaneous bang. A Big Bang.

It is hard for us as humans to understand. God always has been, always is, and always will be. Just like a ring, there is no beginning and no end. He is eternal. But God created the universe some time later.

Yeah. I've also been wondering that. If God has existed before the Universe (as it's written in the Bible) ,what was he doing ? I mean - he's stayed in a dark corner ,not seeing anything (cause as it's written in the Bible - he's "invented" the light when he's created the Universe) and totally bored ? And suddenly he's decided to create the Universe ? Yeyy ?

No it does not make the same sense to me.
After god comes the universe. If god is there to explain the existence of the universe then god replaces the problem of 'how can something always been there' with abstraction that goes beyond human perception and thus explains nothing more.

Time is something that we exist in, but there are other plains. It's difficult to envision something without being subject to time, but we need to be open minded. Not so long ago, we thought atoms were the smallest things in existence and that all matter was made up of them. Now we know that there are different parts that make up atoms and things that make up those things (not only that, but the laws of physics as we know them don't apply to these things at the sub-atomic level). My point being that the more we know, the more we understand how little we actually know. Time is a product of our expanding universe and because we are subject to it, we naively think everything is. There are plains where our 'understanding' doesn't mean much. Open your mind.

1)Yes, beause God is defined as eternal and infinite. However ,there was no"there" for God to be at until Creation of time and space.
2)People have said the Universe was eternal in the past but when it was shown that it is not static and permanent that hypothesis fellout of favor.
