Be careful because your teen years are your growing years too. Exercise 3-5 days a week for about 35-45 minutes. Eat a well balanced diet. Don't cut out anything from your diet because these are your growing years you need all of the essentials that the food guide advises you. Cut out high sugar and high fatty foods. Moderation is the key... Find what a healthy body weight and BMI(body mass index) for you is from your doctor and use that as a tool. Utulize your doctor's advice. Remember you should still get regular physicals even though your a teen. Develop this habit now so it will carry over into your adult years.

THE BEST WAY - you need to eat less calories and then exercise.
DRINK 6 glasses of water a day. When you feel hungry, you are probably dehydrated if you have just eaten.
Eat SLOWLY - enjoy every little mouthful.

Breakfast - 2 eggs on toast with tomatoes. 1/2 cup fresh juice and tea or coffee (no sugar) milk.
Snack: a couple of apples or other fruit
Lunch: Wholemeal bread, no butter, lots of salad and cheese or tuna.
Snack: Diet Yogurt
Dinner: Protein (fish or meat or legumes) grilled or broiled only. Lots of fresh vegies. Only small potato.
Snack: Skim milk with cocoa, 5 nuts.

You will lost weight if you exercise and move lots - dance, don't use remote control to switch TV channels, run up stairs. Walk to destinations.
Get a buddy to help and do this with you.

This is not a diet, it is a lifestyle. Do it for the rest of your life.
Cakes etc for birthdays only (and very small portions)

Sounds simple...but THE BEST and most safe way to lose weight is not a fad diet. Watch your calorie intake, keep it below 1,200 calories per day, exercise, drink lots of water, and dont eat after 6pm...trust me, I have done it all!!!!
