Hi,
I know that Constantine had a dream in 312 AD.
What I want to know is the time of the Christianization of the whole Roman Empire.
When did Christianity become the Roman Empire's official and only religion?

PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WITH LINKS!

Thanks.

It never did.
The form of religion to which the emperor Constantine legislated as the state religion, was that of an apostatized Christianity rather than the true form of Christianity that Jesus gave to his followers.

The Roman Empire did not become Christian in any year. Christianity was decriminalised in 311 AD by Galerius. Constantine, through the Edict of Milan in 313, changed a hostile neutrality to Christianity to a friendly neutrality and provided some protection against the effects of past and future persecution. This prepared the way for the legal recognition of Christianity as the religion of the empire but did not necessarily make it a practicing Christian empire.

Define Roman Empire. It split and the Western Empire fell in 476. A.D. so it really was never fully Christianized. The Eastern Empire continued, eventually becoming the Ottoman Empire, and was made Christian officially by Constantine after the split. So Constantine didn't have any authority over the Western Empire, thus it never really was fully Christian

The Roman Empire never accepted Christianity they hated it because they were intimidated by the thought of a Leader (Jesus). The Roman Empire considered Christianity a cult not a religion and it was against them.

I wasn't aware that the Roman Empire ever became Christian. Constantine forced his army to become Christians. It wasn't in their hearts. So they brought alot of their pagan customs of worship into the church. That's how paganism became mixed with Catholism. So you see, it is not a black and white question that you ask. But it is a good one.

nicely, you're proper. Christianity did no longer care approximately one being Jewish in ethnicity or theory. One purely had to settle for Jesus Christ as their savior, and that exchange into it. no rely how oppressed you're in this existence, your have been unfastened interior with Jesus Christ and equivalent justice and eternal salvation awaited you interior the subsequent, exchange right into a helpful message, expecially back then.
