That being, why do atheist people assume that if someone believes in creation, they do not believe in evolution?

The more modern christians who realise they can no longer hold on to some of the more backward views concede this these days..Religion itself has to evolve as it gets uncovered by modern thinking. More bible fables now are being sold as 'not to be taken literally'......

Because people often see things as either black or white, right or wrong. They are often taught what to believe and do not do any research on alternative theories. I agree with Foxtrot that it can go both ways and even gave him a thumbs up for using the word obverse.
Edit- I did answer your question. The answer is because most people think it has to be evolution or creationism. Also most people think that in order to believe in evolution you must know what caused the big bang to occur. This is not true. I don't know how the universe began. I don't think we will ever know how it began, and yet we live just fine day by day.

You're right. There are other ideas of how we got here, right? Could've been aliens landed a zillion years ago and earth is some alien 8th grader's science project....... But seriously, it's true - a rational person can decide that our origin is not known and so they have not come to a conclusion yet as to what they believe - and perhaps never will.
And "religion", being a man made institution does evolve as do all man made institutions.
Note that God on the other hand is the same today, yesterday and forever, and some people who don't know the bible very well do confuse what is literal (7 days of creation, Eden/Adam/Eve, burning bush, parting of the Red Sea, the plagues, Noah and the flood, Jesus rising from the dead, Jesus' miracles of changing water to wine and raising dead people and healing lame people) and what is not (parable of the sower, tares, etc.)

You have it a little backwards. So many atheist say that is you believe in the bible then you don't believe in evolution. Most Christian and Jews I have known believe in evolution. Even the Pope made a speech saying evolution was a valid theory. I never heard of an atheist that didn't believe in Evolution.

well first of all, if nothing was created, then nothing can evolve... and no we dont know the answers, but we do have the general concept of the idea.
in genesis it says god created the life on earth in 6 days.... okay, and why dont many people believe that is true? i mean 6 days, wow - its kind of obvious... but now lets take a look at it and understand that these days, were days to god, and days to god are not the same as days to us... to us, a day for god could be a million years.... look at it that way and then tell me you dont understand it.

wow man, do you know why nobody is going to answer the actual question???? because nobody can... first of all, you ask, why do religious people assume that if someone doesnt believe in creation they automatically believe in evolution...now what kind of a question is that? its not religios people that assume that, its people in general.. and not ever religious person is going to assume that, and some people that arent even religious will assume that. its an impossible question to answer because you are asking about everybody that follows a religion, and two christians have two diferent views, therefore your question can not be answered.
you are saying that all religious people are the same, which is not true!

maybe you would do a little better by asking ' why do SOME PEOPLE assume... yada yada yada ' .... this is an immature question, it wasnt really at first, but when you jump in and start saying **** like you did, it makes it that way. think about what your saying man... think about your question.. i mean really... its kind of dumb.
its like asking, why do all white people hate black people, because we all know that its not true... yes SOME white people hate black people, but not ALL.....

>What’s incorrect with believing in creation And Evolution? You propose, different than that the former of the two has if truth be told no information to help it and a great quantity of information against it? >The Bible makes use of metaphor, parable, and symbolism to describe divine actuality (it incredibly is a secret). Then the question turns into, WHY did it use metaphor, parable and symbolism? does not it have been plenty greater handy, and much less difficult and deceptive, if God had in basic terms suggested the top actuality interior the Bible with out disguising it in any way? there is no sturdy clarification why the 1st financial disaster of Geneis could desire to not start up '13 billion, 700 and 80-seven million, fifteen thousand 8 hundred and ninety-six years in the past, God created the Universe out of a tiny ingredient by using increasing area and dividing the 4 commonly used forces out of the primordial quantum vacuum'. Why did God not write precisely that? no count if it is so important that we've self belief in him, why does he seem attempting so confusing to cover himself from us? It in basic terms would not compute. A deistic god is extensively greater lifelike, and the main obvious point of view in any respect is that no gods exist interior the 1st place. >pondering Genesis replaced into written approximately 5000 years in the past, doesn’t it make experience it does not clarify evolution if that replaced into the case? Excuse me. If the deity you're speaking approximately replaced into useful adequate to create the entire Universe out of nowhere, actually he does not permit himself be dissuaded by using the medical lack of information of primitive civilizations? The Bible is meant to be a e book of revelation and non secular actuality, yet if what you're asserting is the case, then curiously God has desperate that coddling to early civilizations' loss of medical expertise is greater important than pointing out the actual information. Like I say, it in basic terms would not upload up; no genuine deity could do something like that. >Is the Bible a technological understanding e book, a history e book, or a non secular e book approximately God’s dating to human beings? If it particularly does characterize divine revelation from an omnisceint deity, there is no sturdy clarification why it won't be all 3, and there is maximum actual no sturdy clarification why it could get numerous the 1st 2 downright incorrect. Writing blatant medical and historic falsehoods right into a e book isn't a sturdy thank you to get human beings to hearken to its non secular message, and a supremely sensible deity could understand that.

Being human, making choice is a part of life. Sometimes we do not want to make any choice but that is a choice in itself. When you have some evidence of something or absence of evidence you are bound to make decision. That is part of life. You just cannot run away from it. Try it in different area of life and you will realize what I am talking about.

not "religious" people, not even all "Christian" people; "some Christians people" would better fit the situation you describe.

most genuinely religious people I know undterstand that religion is not about what dogmas you "have" to believe. That's just a venner, a control scheme; true religion is about one's relationship with the divine nature of reality; its too personal than ancient books can ever hope to capture.
