that's the only way i dream. i hear it means you have really good control of your psyche, but i think it means i don't fully go into a deep sleep, like i'm always conscious to some degree which is probably why i feel tired ......

Yes, when I was younger, I frequently was aware of when I was dreaming, and then I could direct the dream. It was fun ! Kinda like an ultimate video game !

For some reason I can't seem to do this any more.

Yes, I do that every night. Its when im half asleep but mostly awake. Its confusing. I just lie in my bed, close my eyes, and think/ dream but im controlling it. I do that for about an hour until I fall asleep. Its extremely fun and I cant sleep any other way. I told my friend, who had trouble sleeping, about it and I guess she understood what i was saying and now she sleeps like and now she sleeps like a bear in hibernation.

Some people can do it and some cant. And some people it only happens to them every now and then, or maybe only once.

Its kinda when your half awake, and to the people who always do it its really easy.
They just sort of go to sleep and then they can control everything. It makes sleep more intresting.

Good Question! It's called lucid dreaming...many people have them as kids, and struggle to have them later on. I still have them about once every few weeks. You should check this out if you're looking for more information, or you'd like to be able to have ld's again:

This happens to me very rarely but its cool when it happens I actually realise its a dream and I can control some of it. But if I try to hard I wake up.

Same here. I can't do it anymore. Still. In the old days as soon as I realised I was dreaming I would deliberately take a short cut through the cemetery and keep falling over when the monsters were chasing after me etc etc etc. What a nutter!

I could do it when I was kid.
I used to imagine a tunnel, and as I went in, I could go right to stay in the dream, or left to get out of it.
If I went left, I used to come out of the tunnel on a cliff top, and my bed was underneath. So I'd jump, and as I hit my bed, I would really jump, and was awake.

These days, I just wait to need a piss.
