I think, believe and expect that agnostic theism could replace Abrahamic religions based on gnostic theism. I think, believe and expect there will always be a need for a belief in god because from the mystery of this myth follows emotive forces of joy, faith and love that balance the emotive forces of sad sorrow, mad fear, and bad anger that follow from the discovery of the truth about the impending disease and death of our fractal infernal temporal seed bodies.

Unfortunately, secular humanism or Rand's Objectivism or any of the other options do not provide the same emotional fulfilment as religion does to its followers, so it is likely that however much an alternative is promoted religion will always be popular.

Hmmm. Religion could be replaced with lots of different things to strive after. And many people have many different gods. Career, education, money, etc.

To me though, the question would be "Is there something that could replace Christ as a "reconciler" to God? The answer would be NO.

Actually, Christianity is NOT considered a religion: it is a way of life.

The same is true for Judaism, not surprisingly, since Judaism is the "mother faith" of Christianity.

It may not appear necessary to believe in God; however, those of us who seek Him actually find answers for our lives/problems, even solutions that come our way which appear to be coincidences: until the odds of their specifics are considered and weighed. In fact, the longer I live a Christian life, the less faith I find I need because His proof becomes SO evident.

Therefore, I WANT to have Him in my life to keep helping me through it!

Try reading the Holy Bible again, but first ask God to show you the truth in it, if there is. You don't have to believe in Him for Him to come and answer YOU.

No. I do not know of a philosophy that will allow man to elevate himself, debase himself or change the deity of God or His relationship with man. I no longer seek such rubbish.

I'm not sue what you're asking. You mean one that would replace religion and belief in God?

Buddhism is an example of that then.
