It's both. There are people who constantly demand "proof" for God as if they expect Christians to snap their fingers and make God appear. Faith is not like that. It is believing in the unseen. With it, you know in your heart that God exists. I personally see God in everything. I look at things that are so beautiful, I know that God had to have a hand in them. I look at life and I know that God had to have a hand in creating it. But I know that is subjective and I'm fine with that.

To me, the objective part comes from seeing the changes and blessings in my own life and in the life of other believers. We can look back and see where God helped us and guided us and was with us. We can see where God took someone who was addicted to drugs, for example, and took away the addiction. We can see where someone should have died in a horrible accident, but they did not. We can see the results of our prayers. To us, that is objective and further proof that God exists.

If "religion" is real, i.e. if what is said about God, Jesus, the prophets, etc. actually happened, then it doesn't matter what human beings choose to believe or not believe. The question of subjectivity vs. objectivity is irrelevant in the face of What Is.

Just like with scientific laws, whether we choose to acknowledge them or understand them, they will always be true. Spiritual laws are the same way. They are more difficult to understand because you can't necessarily "prove" them, but they are nonetheless solid.

The question is not so much whether religion is subjective or objective, but whether you yourself will choose to step into Truth, which has been revealed to us by the scriptures, or ignore it.

Subjective, as in order to be objective you've got to look at something without making any assumptions (specifically, the existence of God or gods).
