I was just thinking why we as women have to wait for a MAn to determine if they want to marry us. why? many times we are ready to get marry and know we want to marry that man. but we just sit around and wait for him to propose and sometimes they never do. I know is tradition and many of us come form a conservative background but what if woman just proposes when they are ready and if the guy does not want to we'll know, won't waste our time and move on. what do you think?

times are changing. If it feels right you should go for i. Plenty of women do it. Just make it romantic like you would expect and he would like. I wish you luck

I would advise you to think less in terms of time and more iterms of quality of the relationship. I've seen this with quite a few friends, where the guy delays because the girlfriend will do things like complain too much, only do the things she wants to do...making the guy worry that he might be in for a less than ideal marriage. If you treat him great while respecting yourself, a normal guy will propose in most cases. If he has a hobby he loves, support it wholeheartedly and give him a little free time, things like that go a long way. Be honest with yourself, see if there are things you could do to make yourself a better partner- most of us can.

I asked my man to marry me last September and he said "Maybe" just because he was just ending his divorce and he wasn't sure he'd wanna jump into marriage right away which I could understand. A few weeks later he asked me to marry him and I said "Yes" and I turned around and asked him again and he said "Yes" and also said he was sorry for saying "Maybe" a few weeks before. Anyway, the point is I got my ring and now we have wedding plans. Women shouldn't wait around for a man to ask, if you love him and see yourself with him, then go for it! POP THE QUESTION!!

only on leap years are you allowed to ask a guy ....or its bad luck !.... and you are missing the point of marrage ... BOTH parties need to be ready , not just you !

I agree with you 100%*... Why should any woman not empower herself to have that option*...VIVA Revolution, I like the way you think independently on your own regarding marriage*.... I would like to see it catch on in this Country******...........
