I have 2 neighbors, one I like and one I don't like. The one I don't like hits his wife and one day I saw him outside hitting his wife. I told him to stop and he threatened me and called his friends to harass me. My other neighbor doesn't like this guy either and shows no fear of him. One day his dog got loose and went into her yard. She told him he's got 1 way to get that dog back, dead or alive. If he wants it back alive, he best come and get it or else she'll kill that dog and toss the body in his yard. He makes sure to never let his dog go into my neighbor's yard again but he allows his dog to mess up my yard. He don't give her any hassles about anything and when he sees her, he won't even look her way. How would you handle a neighbor like that?

The neighbor that threatened to ice the dog is the best model you could ask for in terms of dealing with this jerk; follow her lead. Note: The next time you're witnessing domestic violence, a call to the police would be in order.

first i'd like to apolgize for you being in this position, it must be very difficult.
But, to be honest, the first thing you should do, is protect his wife. Looks like she's getting more abuse than the dog. Inform the police all of what you've seen, and make sure his wife is safe, and that he is farrrrrrrrrr from you, advise her to get a restraining order from him, and make sure you get one for you and all your friends he knows about.
Then, handle the dog situation. If this is the neighbor that you like than you should be able to talk to her, and make sure she puts no harm upon the dog.

Only a few things that you can do that are legal. Move, call the po po, get the neighborhood together a run him out, get some really nasty guys to hassle him, or take him to Court. Or just stay away from him and his. And crulity to animals is illeagel.

First of all I would have called the cops on the jerk for hitting his wife. I would just stay clear of this guy unless he is causing you harm.

Dont do anything back to him because he might get mad and abuse you because it seems like he has some issues , so call the police because his dog is on private property, and he abuses his wife, so i would call the cops asap, and don't worry the cops ain't that scary. ; )
