How can you take the "ITS" out of "ITS ideals"? The "ideals" are sourced FROM God, to take God out of religion is to strip it of it's ideals, too. (Kinda a "two-fer-one" deal here!)

Although many people say that religion is man-made, how can man (a fininte, limited being) create something which is GREATER than he? He cannot.... it is impossible. Even in man's WILDEST DREAMS can he imagine something that is infinite and unilmited as God is. If you THINK you can imagine the infinity of God, God is still MORE than what you THINK He is.

Therefore, religion is not created by man. Religion is the ways/means by which man RELATES to God, and God to man. To take God OUT of religion is simply not possible since religion and God are unalterably intertwined. Therefore the religion's ideals ARE God's ideals.

The world would be a better place if everyone would believe in God, and our Lord Jesus. But satan has other plans!

Have a blessed day!

Really, which religion do you suggest following? the one that says to kill anyone who doesn't believe what you do? Because most religion texts tell you that. Why do you think some religion started all the rules that work. They were around long before any religion started. You know, the important one, Don't kill anyone, don't take what isn't yours, don't sleep around, obey your parents, look after your family and neighbour. Those rules were around as long as there wee people living together, and will outlast any religion. oh, yeah, I forgot another important one, Mind your own darned business

Rufus: He still digs humanity, but it bothers Him to see the **** that gets carried out in His name - wars, bigotry, televangelism. But especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.

Bethany: Having beliefs isn't good?

Rufus: I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate. Life becomes stagnant.

It's from the movie Dogma. I thought it was appropriate.

no because then there would be nothing to live for and i personally believe that the only thing that keeps me going is the knowledge that somone meaning God loves me more than anyone or anything in this world could ever imagine and all that love for no reason at all. Who in this "moral" world does that.?

If you dont understand what I'm saying its perfectly normal because you have to experience it to understand hopefully one day you will and then youll know exactly what im talking about

I've done just the opposite. I took religion out of God and only listen to his ideas. I don't trust humans so I eliminated them from directing my thoughts, I can think for myself and should considering my fate is at hand.

Like sending bears to tear apart children for calling someone "baldy"? Or perhaps you are talking about the ideal of treating women as property. Perhaps you are talking about the ideal of blowing yourself up to kill other innocents.

Just which ideals do you think are really that worthy?

The only ones that are worth anything are ones we follow anyways, without religions.

Yes. You are correct.
But also, if we took all the needles away from all the doctors, little kids would have a better time at the doctor's visits............... they'd all DIE, but they wouldn't fear the doctor so much.
Take God out of the equation, and we all end up in Hell.

Not to you, I think the word you used in another post was pretentious. You seem to exhibit that quality.

No. Because there is no religion without 'GOD'.
