No, don't delete the question. It's a good question.
I personally don't view Christianity as a religion, but it has a lot of religion in it. Pure Christianity is truth -- People following the one true God. Religion is the garbage that people pile on top of the truth.
As for the kingdom, Jesus came to do much more than to make us citizens of the Kingdom. He came to make us rulers in the kingdom. Very few people are raising up to that capacity. In John 14:12 Jesus said that those who believe would do the same works that he did. In Mat 10:8, Luke 9:2 and Luke 10:9 he commanded his followers to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils. In Mat 28:20 he instructed his disciples to teach all nations to observe all things that he commanded them to do. II Tim 2:12 tells us that we are to work toward raining with him.
Our part in the kingdom is to raise up to what we were commanded in Gen 1:26-28. We are to have dominion over this earth, and all that is in it, and subdue it.

citizens of the Kingdom sharply defines his role and purpose.Jesus appeared at a time when the rabis and the people of the church(temple) became sloppy and a role model to mediate the understanding of the truth was totally lacking. In other words man was lost. His life was not led by virtues or the truth, as it should have been as laid down in earlier soceities.Namely Hebrew and the roots of it.

Such questions seem Godly and thought provoking, but steeps in man made traditions. It is trying to prove Christianity is not a religion when even the bible itself says it is. Religion is not a dirty word. If people spent more time living a godly life and less time trying to prove they aren't religious, which they do a good job Christ would be better served. Just my opinion. Did I make you think? Yes, the bible talks about being citizens of his kingdom but also claims it's followers are religious read the book of James. James talks about undefiled religion is to tend to the widows and orphens.
Christians spend way too much time avoiding religion to serve God in my opinion, just my opinion though. He is your God not mine.

He came to make us members of the Kingdom. We just need religion in order to help us to deal with how and what He taught us.

Religion is man made and Believing is God made. A friend of mine once told me that religion is made by man to put his little twists and turns on the truth. It causes holy wars and such
