There really isn't a good way to answer that. There is nothing wrong with dreaming, and it's quite normal. It's ok to dream of a better life or a different situation. Part of that is the minds way of putting itself in other situations to see if it would be a good fit. If it is, then make it a goal and then go for it!

But sometimes a fantasy is just that, and is a good way to give the mind a break from the normal wear and tear of life. That's ok too. Life is a pain in the butt sometimes, and fantasy helps us muddle through the hard times.

Ultimately, it depends on what reality you are trying to accept. It's one thing to pull yourself to the side and say hey, stop being a moron. You got a good thing here and you are screwing it up, or hey, dreaming ain't doing. But you could be trying to tell yourself that hey, you are really unhappy with your life, and are seeking a change that means something. New job, new relationship, new life. And if that's the case, then no, you don't want to accept reality. You want to change it. Which is both the hardest and easiest thing to do. It's hard, because you have to take the first step. Then the second. It's easy though, because once you decide to change, then reality becomes what you want it to be - or at least, as much as reality ever can.

Reality is up for grabs. There are as many realities as there are people . It's always
possible something is wrong. If you really believe it is truly interfering with your life, just see a doc. It's easy, they're everywhere. It's far more likely you're just the creative type. Only you know how much this is getting in the way. Make a decision about it's severity and if you decide it's truly serious, follow through and see a doctor. If it is serious, you're not going to find an answer on a website where people use words like "prolly". Your call.

You are meant for another world, that is why you dream. We are all meant to be in a place of beauty with our Heavenly Father. Seek Him and not only will you be able to accept "reality," reality itself will feel more joyful and filled with wonder, because God will give you a new vision. He is the answer -- turn to Him.

Real life is greatly over-rated. Use your imagination to do creative stuff and make money out of it. Even if you dont, you will have fun.

Take a good look at your real life. Is it what you want? Or does it need some work to become what you want? Often, when our real life isnt all we would like it to be we escape into daydreams.

You will need to focus on real people and your friends in order to get out of it. Try to limit the amount of TV you watch and books you read. you need to stay in the here and now and try to savor every minute of the day . Do not let your mind wander off and try to keep busy.
