lmaooo so the local target is a hot spot huh? I know someone who walked through the fields on a hot day just to go to target...wow what a "fun" place to live...not !!

can someone tell me one fun thing to do there because someone i know is accusing me of being jealous of him because he lives there and i dont (laughinggg)...i mean please he is always hating on the east coast like cali is so great...maybe LA is but he livess farrrr from LA lol. LOL I say he is jealous because his hate wont stop. He even claims victorville has no cock roaches.

I've been a California resident my whole life and love the place but gosh darn, Victorville is the pits! As others have said, the only good thing to do in Victorville is to leave it. It's desert, but not pretty desert. Usually you'd have the benefit of peace and quiet in the desert, but it's got that noisy highway that everything's built next to, so no quiet. It's got cheap ugly development plopped down adjacent to a highway that always has lots of signs "land for sale". Whenever I go thru there I always wonder about what kind of sucker would actually spend money living in an ugly cheap tract house in the middle of ugly desert miles away from anything attractive, interesting or even productive.
It would be a good place to make a movie about "quiet despiration". Please do not hassle your friend; he needs sympathy and support. Most of California is wonderful but Victorville is NOT. I am assuming your friend is unable, due to age or financial circumstances, to move somewhere else right now...or likely they would have already.
Really, if your friend is going to give a credible argument in favor of living in California then he needs to move somewhere else. It's a pretty big state so lots of better choices!

Not to come off as a jerk, but Victorville is somewhat of a hole in the wall. That being said... there are a lot of strip malls and chain restaurants to keep you placated. One of the most interesting things I can think of is along the I-15 corridor going through Victorville. They have a huge thing that looks like a windmill with only two "fans" on it. The two ends actually have a little cage that people go into!!! It looks crazy and shouldn't be hard to find. I haven't ever stopped because I am usually on my way to or from Vegas when I see it. I just moved here and honestly, ILOVEIT !!!! ^There is sooo much to do. you can go to the victor valley mall which is very close, watch a movie there or you can go skating at holiday skating center , or go to the 2 dollar movie theater and watch an older movie at Movies 10, or you can go to scandia family fun center. Theres really so much to do, people just dont know

hhahaha my friend just moved there, maybe ou should meet up. She is dying of boredom..... she hates it there. the middle of nowhere california where it's really hot. i miss her... it's so sad. I told her i would drive up to visit her and we can hang out at the local target or something. or she should just drive done to the beautiful oc... poor girl.

I have only met one person from Victorville in my life that said that the best thing he ever did was move to Bakersfield. HUM! (A least in Bakersfield you can go to Lake Isabella

wow...take a drive for an hr and head to OC/LA. The only time I drive through Vegas is on the way to Vegas from LA.
