i stopped by my best friends house to pick her up with a group of girls to go mini golfing...her brother came outside and started mowing the lawn...the other girls were screaming and waving to him...he waved politely to them but then went back to what he was doing...then my best friend came out and asked me to get out of the car to go talk to him because he needed to talk to me...i got out but then got back in because he couldn't hear us and i was to shy to go over...anyways she gets his attention and he walks over and says hi to just me and made it very clear it was for just me...then he looked at me with a huge smile on his face...then we left and he kept waving to me till we were out of sight...he also said he was only going to wave to me...then at the golf course she tries to get me to write down my phone number to give it to him or to just go back home with her to talk to him.. things didnt work out for me to be able to do that...why would he ask to talk to me does he like me???

yes his sister has my phone number and i told her to just give that to him...because we had nothing to write with...but she said she needed it to give to him anyway...that is why i was so confused why she would be asking me this...if a guy knows your parents names in the phone book and the phone number is in there why doesnt he just call me if he needed to talk to me...what is the reasons he wouldn't...would it be because he likes me and it isn't appropriate...any other reasons wouldn't they be able to call you...

This sounds like something a 13-year-old would do.
Pay no attention to it. And don't give out your phone number [if his sister is your best friend doesn't she already have your phone number??].
This all sounds bogus to me. For pity's sake, don't get into the dating scene till you're much older. This is the age in which you have fun with groups of people -- both male and female. Don't even consider settling with a single date or trying to "go steady" till you're out of high school and into college or a career. It isn't worth it. They're too immature.

I think that you're a little bit childish probably because you're a child. It's normal to feel complimented but you don't even know each other. I am guessing he figured you were either the prettiest or the one with the lowest self esteem that he could take advantage of that. Control yourself. I suppose it's ok to date but be careful and don't rush into any feelings.

Yes as a guy if I wanted to talk to only you out of a group of girls I would like you. Guys usually don't want girls as friends they want more. It's sad but true. If a guy tries to act friendly its a sign of him wanting to be with you.
