I enlisted in 1963. Did just short of four tours in Nam. I lost my father on Saipan in June of '44. I ended up spending 34 years in the military and I salute any young man with the balls to raise his hand and say "I do".
Those who spew anti-american gibberish have veterans to thank for their right to do so. I just wish a few would spew some while they were within arms length of me.

Kudos to you !!! Thank you for bringing to light the plight of the Vietnam Vet. They came home to nothing but disrespect and hate. I remember picking my brother up at the airport with a change of clothes for him so he could take off his uniform before walking through a line of protesters, but it was obvious he was military returning from Nam. I swore no other young person should have to go through this again after serving their country, but couldn't think of how I could change anything. Then a few months ago I "adopted" 4 young soldiers in Iraq (2 women and 2 men). I am trying to make at least a small change in my little corner. People need to care not later but now. Thank you for your message and thank you for helping maintain my freedom and the freedom of my family.

AMEN, BROTHER, AMEN. I really admire any veteran who has, is, or ever will serve their country in order that we can enjoy the rights and freedoms today. All gave some and some gave all. those of us who remember the Nam era and many of us still shudder at the disrespect most military personnel received upon their return.
