Wow trobop, because your comment was well helpful (sarcasm...If you hadn't guessed...) Well I think it's all good to have a healthy appetite. Why would you want to stop eating dinner and eating at restaurants? Surely that's the whole point of meal times and going out to restaurants? To eat? To enjoy the types and tastes of the food? If you think your overeating when you know your already full try substituting it for lots of water...Cold water especially..that makes you feel full and if you feel your gonna overeat, grab your shoes and head out...go for a walk for half an hour and when you get back home have a hot bath or read a book or just doing something instead of overeating! But seriously, if you wanna treat yourself just do it, your 13, not 33, don't ruin your life by obsessing about food and feeling guity everytime you have a piece of chocolate. You have your health, you have family, you have life. Forget the rest. Live it while your here. Good luck.

okay, ancient mom here with dinosaur advice that does work. chew each bit 20 times before swallowing. this will slow down how fast you eat. as far as how much you eat only put small portions of food on your plate, whether eating at home or eating out. do not over pile your plate with food. take one spoonful of each item that you want to try. if there are many types such as at a buffet then only take four choices at a time.take one piec of meat then three vegetables. the slower you eat the faster your stomach realizes it is full and the sooner you stop eating. the minute you feel full. STOP no more food goes in your mouth NONE at all even if there is still food on your plate. consider yourself finished at that point. you may have a good metabolism now but give it a few years and you won't. i've been there with my own family.

You can try chewing for 10 seconds or more and then swallow, you can drink a lot of water in between bite, and you can only put what you think is just enough to make you full on your plate. Also, eat healthy things first so you'll have less of an appetite when you get to the less healthy things. If you feel full, but it tastes good, try drinking some water. If you're at home and you binge and have cravings, try brushing your teeth -- instinct wants to keep them clean. Good luck, hope I helped :)

I had that problem too. I recentley just stopped overeating though . I just went to the grocery store and looked at all my "old" food one last time and then just walked past it without asking my mom to buy it and when i ran into like healthy things [yogurts, fruits, granola bars,etc..] i just thought they would help me stop overeating and they actually did. Now, i`ve cut down on alot of pounds and this food is good for you and has a great taste. (: hope i helped, bye!

Try this. Eat with smaller plates and smaller spoons. If you have a choice between forks and chopsticks, use chopsticks. you'll pick up less food which will help you eat less.
This one guy says that we tend to eat more with our eyes than our stomachs. We tend to eat food because we see it, not because we're hungry.

You really need to go to Overeaters Anonymous. You don't have to be fat to go there. There are teen meetings, too. They have all been where you are and they can help you stop overeating.
