Do you also have chest pain numbness and tingling in left arm shortness of breath and frequent black outs? If so What do you do to minimize these symptoms? I cannot take meds right now b/c I'm breastfeeding, but I'm tired of feeling like I'm next to death all the time.

i have been living with it since 2001 when my electrical system quit do to a congenial defect, and i had cardiac failure. (ICD, instant cardiac death) i have had heart problems since i was 23 years old. i'm only 54 yrs. now i have a defibrillator, but that does not stop the tachy and palpitations. i hate the feelings i have but try to live with it. my doctor says it can't be helped. plus now i have a blockage in the main artery (aortic) in my brain, so i am always dizzy and faint with blurred vision, not to mention constant headaches that no pain killers seem to help. but then i am not pregnant either.

PLEASE,,,,,
you need to see your doctor (cardiologist) about your problem as soon as you can. it sure can't be good for your baby. there must be a med. out there somewhere that won't hurt the baby, or at least where the benefit outweighs the alternative. your lack of oxygen can harm the baby.

Go to the ER now! Since you are young, it MAY be anxiety. But please get it checked out. A Dr prescribed propanolol for my tachycardia and it has not returned. Good luck.
