Good question. First you should learn karate, or some other form of martial arts that will increase your hand-eye coordination and reaction time, because whether you realize it or not, right now you are slow and weak, and rest assured, someone IS coming for you. There's always someone coming for you. It's a brutal and savage world, and anyone who tells you different is a liar and a stinking pansy that probably has their lunch-money and their invaluable Pride stolen from them any day. These sort of people are Losers, and we don't have to worry about them. We are Champions and need only worry about the Enemy. He is everywhere.
If you are old enough to buy a weapon, I suggest you do that to hold you over until you learn enough Karate to really put a good hurting on someone. If you aren't old enough to buy a big gun, preferably one that is so heavy that you will need a shoulder-support strap just to carry it around, then opt for something blunt, or with a ragged cutting edge that will inflict the maximum amount of pain.
NO MERCY. Bite, rip, and claw, especially at the eyeballs, and any part that is soft or vulnerable like the groin or the back of the kneecaps. Once you get good at this, you'll be able to recognize the Enemy before he recognizes you. Pay careful attention to those that you pummel into the concrete. You will start to notice similarities of dress, gender, culture and even skin color. This will give you a profile, and once you've got that down, you can wail on these folks before they even get a CHANCE to think about doing anything to you. Sure, so I hope that that helps, who knows, you might get good at it. In this case, join a Police Academy, so that you are legally entitled to engage in a good butt-whuppin' whenever you get the "rage". You'll figure out what that is soon enough, and you'll know that it is a greater and higher feeling than drugs, milk chocolate candy bars or Jesus can ever deliver. Don't stop hitting them until they stop moving.
To learn at home right now how to put a good karate beat-down on someone, go to Google, and type in "Mahatmas Gandhi". He is a bad-as#, and will teach you everything you will need to know in about ten minutes. Okay, also remember to check out "Martin Luther King Jr.", he was the reigning UFC champ before he was brought down by Robert "Napalm Fist" McNamara.

The essential ingredient to someone wanting to fight you is pride. Either you have somehow damaged this person's sense of pride(either willingly or involuntarily) or they think that by beating you up, they will gain some pride.

Never fed an ego. Don't retaliate this person's cussing you out with more cussing out and back talk. Fight with reason and logic, if you think you will be seen as weak by others than those people are weak and simple-minded. The truly wise people will commend your actions. Always seek peace even if your image must take a blow.

A truly superb being is not one that needs to fight
but one that fights when needed.

If aggravated, and physically threatened, there is little one can do. If forced, hit hard, hit fast and never hit more than you need to. always give room for surrender.

You should walk away. Do not turn your back to them.
Do not fight unless you are given no choice. A fight is a willing physical clash of two or more egos. A self defense situation is when you are attacked and given no choice but to defend yourself.

Be smarter than the person that wants to fight you.

I disagree with those above who said you should walk away if somebody wanted to fight you. No, you shouldn't walk away, you should run away. Running away is better than walking away because running means he has to be faster than you to catch you, and when a guy who wants to beat the crap outta you is chasing you, believe me, you will run like you've never ran before, faster than any other time in your life.

I would first say avoid a fight as much as you can.

Second if this is some loser bully they will probably have back up if they do go after you. If things go south you will want the same.

If it happens, BLAST THEM HARD.

If sombody wants to fight you walk away, if this person really want to fight you they will follow you.
if they really want to fight they will strike first if not they are just blowing hot air. if you are struck then you have no option but to strike back if you can that is, hope you can but never strike first, always avoid fighting when possible.

I'm not a violent person, but i understand it's need.

If you can Talk it out, Talk

If you can run, by all means RUN.

If you run out of options, STOMP A MEMORY into them. Make it so when they look at that scar they remember YOU.

The best course of action is avoidance. If you can't avoid, hit 1st, hit hard & hit often.
