I can't even tell anymore who's really telling a genuine message. Everyone seems to be after the profits. I guess those who believe that something is really happening is gonna have to wait and see for themselves in 5 years! What do you think? (Please serious comments only and please don't try to insult anyone.)

So many people are trying to make money for the same reason so many people tried to make money by putting a scare into people in 1999 about the year 2000 and all of the bad things that were supposed to happen like computers crashing around the world. They see an opportunity to make money and they take it.

The Bible doesn't attach any significance to the year 2012 and so I don't either. I would advise you not to do what Jesus said.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

I know all about the Aztec calendar ending in 2012. Considering the Aztecs themselves ended a few centuries before that, one interpretation is that they were overly optimistic. But I know the truth, and I'm going to clean up.

I'm the one that cornered the market on "Year 1" calendars on Ebay, and after 2012, you will all be at my mercy.

No advance sales. I'm gonna make a bundle when the time comes. Or ends. Whatever.

It's not just 2012, for years people have been making money on other people by giving dates predicting the end of the world, most of the people who support such falsehood tend to think it is true and "exciting":

So when their prophecy does not comes to pass, then they are a PROVEN false prophets.

so your question is why they are trying to make money out of this.

probably 'cause they don't have anything else to do. think about it... if they had, would they try to convince us that the world is gonna end in 5 years? i don't think so...

and yet another thing. even if the world does end in 5 years, there's nothing we can do. i mean even if god exists, 5 years are not enough to repent.

and yet one last thing. suppose that god does exist and any time is enough for repentance, i guess we can all repent in the last minute -well, ok, the last 24 hours.

do you get my point?

so, my answer to your question is as i said on top... money...
