All the above advice is good. I would add that it depends on the quality of your freezer. I have a tiny freezer inside my refrigerator and there is NO WAY that I would eat something that had been in THERE for six months. Also, think back over the last few months. Did you have any power outages that when on for several hours, thus allowing your freezer to warm up?
I would also add that you should cook the heck out of the pork chops just in case, and if you have kids, don't try these out on them. If you and your spouse (if applicable) want to try them some night, you should feed the kids something else. If you and your spouse are okay after twenty-four hours, you MIGHT consider cooking the rest of them for your kids, but if I had kids, I wouldn't risk it.

Depends on how well they were wrapped. you can scrape off the ice but if they look dried out (like cardboard) they may not taste good. Usually 6 months is long enough for meat in a freezer, but some are ok up till about a year.

Yep, they're fine as long as they've been wrapped well and aren't freezer burnt. Meat can stay in the freezer for more than a year and be fine.

They should be ok to eat unless they are freezer burnt. When they are it kind of looks like a white color on the top or sides of the meat. if they are you should throw them away. If you get a food saver and use it for freezing meat , it lasts alot longer, Good luck

If they have been wrapped well and don't have freezer burn, they should be great once defrosted. Meat and other items can be frozen from 6 months to a year without substantial taste and texture loss.

If they were frozen properly it may be possible that they are still edible. But Tsats over 8 months ago is they were frozen in 2006. So maybe It wouldnt be such a great idea. I wouldnt take the chance if I were you.

As long as they are sealed well (vaccuum packed) they should be fine. I have had a pork loin roast in my freezer for 1 year and cooked it and it was fine. It was vaccuum packed.
